Soft yellow, spidery, fragrant flowers emerge in late winter to early spring.  The foliage is round, medium green with hairy undersides and turn yellow, orange and red in the fall. Beautiful vase-shaped large shrub or small tree, becoming more rounded with age.

Tolerant of a range of soils and pH, but grows best in a moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
