Small, cloud-like, pinkish flowers appear above the leaves in summer.  The leaves emerge lime-green late in the spring then turning gold then coral, to orange and red in the fall.

This plant will tolerate many types of soils i.e. rocky or dry, but not moist, low areas. It grows best in full sun, but will keep its colour in light shade. A light pruning will keep this bush to a manageable size, however, this will limit blooming.
