Deep pink panicles of fragrant florets. Seed heads persist through the winter into the next season. Late to emerge in spring, lustrous green leaves turn yellow in the fall. Upright, flat-topped, oval habit.

Clethra grows naturally in wet places. It tolerates a wide variety of soils and conditions, including shade and salt. Suckering fairly freely, it may need some maintenance.
