Linesville CedarThuja occidentalis 'Linesville'
Height: 1-1.25 m
Width: 1.25-1.5 m
Zone: 3
Exposure: Sun to part shade
This dwarf cedar has soft, lacy, sage-green foliage with changes to bronze-green in the fall and winter.
This cedar grows naturally in a rounded, globular habit. It benefits from light pruning to achieve an attractive spherical form. Excellent choice for container planting or as an accent plant in a rock garden. Protection from drying winter winds is recommended in an exposed location. Low tolerance for salt spray or dry conditions. This eastern white cedar cultivar was discovered as a witch's broom in Linesville, PA. Deer find the soft evergreen foliage very attractive for winter food and will rapidly strip a plant.
