Fast growing, upright, densely branched Maple with a broad, oval crown.  The summer leaves resemble those of its Silver Maple parent.  Long-lasting fall colour of orange-red to scarlet-red.  Choose this cultivar when planting on a dry site.

A cross between silver maple and red maple, freemanii cultivars are faster growing, and change colour in the fall earlier than rubrum cultivars.  'Jeffersred' is quite adaptable, tolerant of drought conditions, and is not particular to soil type or pH. It can be grown as a specimen tree or multi-stemmed plant.
