Large, fragrant, double white star-shaped flowers bloom later than other Magnolias.  Dark-green foliage turns yellow to bronze in the Fall.  Large shrub or small tree.

Magnolia do best in a moist, organically rich, well-drained loam.  Avoid southern exposures where the buds may be induced to open too early in late winter.

Protect the first few seasons to protect the flower buds and prevent sunscald.
