Fast growing medium-sized tree. Vase-shaped crown with broad, almost horizontal, spreading branches. Long, Wisteria-like, fragrant clusters of white flowers in late Spring or early Summer, but not necessarily every year. Compound green leaves turn a soft yellow to orange int he Fall.
Wrap the trunk in late Fall to help prevent sunscald.
Tolerant of high pH levels in the soil and dry conditions. Yellowwood should not be pruned in late winter or spring.
