Open, evenly branched maple with a strong central leader and upright oval crown.  Showy red flowers appear before the leaves in Spring.  Fall foliage is red to yellow.  Excellent choice for street planting.

A cross between silver maple and red maple, freemanii cultivars are faster growing, and change colour in the fall earlier than rubrum cultivars.
