Deciduous coniferous tree that grows in a conical shape. Soft flat green needles that turn bronze in the Fall. Needles drop in the Winter. Use as a specimen, for screening, or in a group setting. Place in a sheltered location.
While metasequoia have the appearance of an evergreen, they shed their needles every fall. Typically branched to the ground, they can be pruned up to expose the trunk. Tolerant of a wide variety of conditions, they make an unusual statement.
