This unique raspberry produces large, sweet purple berries. This berries can be picked a little unripe at the red stage for a traditional raspberry flavour. When purple and ripe, the berry flavor is stronger and sweeter.  Yet again, when over-ripe the flavor is similar to that of a black raspberry.

Raspberries require at least 6 hours of sun and well drained soil.  They are happiest in a nutrient-rich, slightly acidic soil, but will still produce in poorer soils.  Raspberries are self-fertile so you do not need two varieties for cross-pollination. 

We strongly recommend amending the planting area with Fafard Acid Loving Plant and Berry Soil Mix or compost.
